Delete your account & data

You can permanently delete your Holy Words account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways:

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)

1. Open Holy Words (web or mobile).
2. Sign in if you're not already.
3. Go to Settings from the user menu.
4. Scroll to the Delete Account section.
5. Tap Delete my account and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Option 2 — Email request

Send an email from the address on your account to support@holywords144.com with the subject "Account deletion request". We will process the deletion within 14 days and reply to confirm.

Email Support

What gets deleted

• Your account (email, name, password hash, profile photo).
• All content you created: bookmarks, prayer requests, room messages, comments, posts.
• All media you uploaded (photos, videos, audio).
• Reading history, watch progress, "My Worship Mix" play history.
• Push notification subscriptions.
• Devotional email subscription (if any).

What may be retained (and why)

• Server logs (IP, timestamps) — up to 30 days for security and abuse-prevention only. Auto-deleted after 30 days.
• Anonymized analytics counts (e.g. "this video was viewed 240 times") with no identifier linking back to you.
• Billing records (Stripe receipts) if you ever held a Premium subscription — retained as required by US tax law for 7 years. Does NOT include card numbers; only your customer ID and the receipt totals.
