Ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces Midori melon liqueur
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 ounce simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 maraschino cherry for garnish
  • Optional: 1 splash of club soda or lemon-lime soda

    Fill a cocktail shaker halfway full with ice cubes — don't be shy with the ice, you want it real cold.

    Pour the Midori melon liqueur into the shaker first, then squeeze in your fresh lemon juice and add that simple syrup.

    Put the top on that shaker and shake it real good for about 10 to 15 seconds until the outside gets all frosty and cold.

    Grab yourself a rocks glass or a regular drinking glass and fill it about halfway with fresh ice cubes.

    Strain that mixed drink from the shaker right into your glass over the ice — use a strainer so you don't get ice chips everywhere.
