SMS Messaging Terms

1. Program description
Holy Words operates a single, opt-in SMS program — the Nightly Lord's Prayer — from the toll-free number +1 (855) 537-5111.
Opting in to texts is completely optional. It is NOT required to create an account, sign in, or use any feature of Holy Words. You can use the entire app without ever providing a phone number.
Messages in this program are:
- Nightly Lord's Prayer (KJV) at 9 PM in your selected timezone — the recurring messages you consent to when you opt in.
- A one-time confirmation code sent only to confirm you own the number when you opt in (double opt-in). This is not a recurring message.
- HELP and STOP replies in response to the HELP / STOP keywords.
Note: any one-time codes used to sign in to a Holy Words account are separate, transactional security messages and are not part of this recurring program or its consent.
2. How you opt in
You opt in to receive SMS from Holy Words by:
- Entering your mobile number in the SMS opt-in form on the Settings page.
- Checking the (unchecked-by-default) consent box that confirms you agree to these SMS Terms.
- Confirming a one-time 6-digit confirmation code we text to that number (double opt-in).
We do not pre-check the consent box, we do not subscribe you from any other channel, and we never share your number with third parties for their own marketing.
2a. Exact opt-in consent language
This is the exact, word-for-word consent every subscriber sees and must actively check (it is never pre-checked) before any message is sent:
"By checking this box, I agree to receive recurring automated text messages — the nightly Lord's Prayer (KJV) — from Holy Words at the number provided. Opting in is optional and is not a condition of creating an account, signing in, or using any part of Holy Words. Message frequency is up to 1 message per day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy."

3. Message frequency
If you opt into the Nightly Prayer program, you will receive up to one (1) recurring message per day. The one-time confirmation code is sent only once, when you opt in. Opting in is optional and is not required to use Holy Words.
4. Carrier costs
Message and data rates may apply. Holy Words does not charge for these messages, but your mobile carrier may. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.
5. How to stop or pause
- Reply STOP to any Holy Words SMS — you will be immediately unsubscribed and receive one final confirmation.
- Reply PAUSE to pause nightly prayer messages for 7 days.
- Reply HELP to receive support contact info.
- Open Settings and tap Unsubscribe to stop everything from inside the app.
6. Supported carriers
Major US carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, Sprint, MetroPCS, Cricket, Boost, Virgin Mobile, Google Fi) and Canadian carriers via Twilio's toll-free messaging service. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Privacy
We process your phone number through Twilio, Inc. (our SMS gateway) solely to deliver these messages. Your phone number is never sold, never shared with affiliates for their marketing, and never used to identify you across other websites. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
